The AICTE-LILAVATI AWARD is launched to recognize efforts being made by AICTE approved institutions to treat women with equality and fairness in all spheres of their lives. The Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Challenge (APEC) is the first part of the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Programme (APEDP). It aims to identify, promote, support, and nurture sustainable and locally relevant business ideas and entrepreneurs. After evaluation and screening, 50 top entrepreneurs will be selected for Incubation and Pre-Incubation programmes facilitated by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. The top 10 entrepreneurs will be awarded up to Rs. 5 lakhs and the next 40 entrepreneurs will be awarded up to Rs. 4 lakhs.

The Asangathit Karmakaar Silai Machine Sahayata Yojana (Unorganized Workers Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme) is a government scheme in Chhattisgarh State that provides sewing machines to promote unorganized workers in their businesses and make them self-reliant. Under the scheme, sewing machines are supplied every year to registered unorganized women workers of the state.

Central Sector Scheme implemented by Coir Board to improve export performance of Indian Coir Sector through export market promotion activities including sponsoring delegations, participation in seminars and conferences, organizing participation in international fairs, undertaking generic publicity abroad, extending financial assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Exporters, and presenting Coir Industry Awards annually to recognize outstanding performance in export, domestic trade, R&D, and functioning of units and societies.

A financial support scheme by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, designed to provide social security to marginal workers on a contributory basis. Chhattisgarh State Government scheme started on 20 December 2016 to empower unorganized workers by providing financial assistance for purchasing e-rickshaws. Registered unorganized labor individuals receive a grant of ₹30,000 from the Chhattisgarh Unorganized Worker State Social Security Board, with beneficiaries covering ₹10,000 in expenses and the remaining amount extended as a bank loan.

Scheme started by Labor Department of Chhattisgarh State on 19 June 2017 to empower unorganized workers by providing financial assistance for e-thela (electric hand cart). Beneficiaries cover ₹10,000, receive ₹30,000 grant from the Board, and remaining amount as bank loan.

The scheme 'Empowering Youth for Undertaking Value Added Innovative Translational Research (E-YUVA)' was started by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) to promote a culture of applied research and need-oriented (societal or industry) entrepreneurial innovation among young students and researchers. BIRAC's Innovation Fellows are expected to initiate biotech startups with proposals having the potential to commercialize innovative products and technologies.

The scheme is aimed at exploring the potential of entrepreneurship along with improvement in livelihood options for unemployed Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC & ST) women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) areas using tools of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It creates opportunities for unemployed SC-ST women in STEM areas to become Techno-entrepreneurs and encourages the commercial potential of marketable products/technologies in areas such as indigenous/traditional knowledge practices, agriculture, food/nutrition/health, waste management, and electrical/electronic utility items.

This programme aims to tap the expertise available in the large pool of Agriculture graduates and create gainful self-employment opportunities for unemployed agricultural graduates, agricultural diploma holders, intermediate in agriculture and biological science graduates, with PG in agri-related courses. The scheme provides full financial support for training and handholding, provision of loans, and credit-linked back-ended composite subsidy. A 45 days specialized training is provided by selected institutes across the country.

The Exhibition component of the Development Of Handicrafts scheme by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Puducherry, was introduced to boost the marketability of handicrafts and enhance sales through the organization of exhibitions. These exhibitions are conducted locally and in various states of the country.

This scheme provides financial assistance to dramatic groups, theatre groups, music ensembles, children's theatre, and all genres of performing arts activities to promote the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition. Assistance is provided monthly to Gurus/Directors and Shishyas/Artists based on their age group and category.

Financial assistance scheme started by Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (CBOCWWB) to provide one-time financial assistance to the spouse of registered male construction workers or female construction workers for the purchase of a sewing machine.

A scheme launched by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala to help those released from jail from poor economic conditions to find their livelihood. One-time financial assistance is provided to eligible ex-convicts to find self-employment and start small industry/trade as part of social rehabilitation.

The scheme provides financial assistance to inter-caste married couples (except SC/ST category) who suffer from financial problems. A one-time financial assistance of ₹30,000 is given to eligible couples. The financial assistance should be utilized for purposes like starting a business, for the purchase of land, or for the construction of a house.

The scheme provides financial assistance to facilitate the purchase of equipment for disabled persons who have completed vocational training from government institutions or recognized institutions to start their own businesses. Only citizens who are permanent residents of Maharashtra are eligible.

Scheme started by Labor Department of Chhattisgarh State on 15 June 2016 to empower unorganized workers by providing financial assistance for scales, weights and baskets to support vegetable and fruit vendors and traders.

GOBARdhan was launched by the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation in April 2018 as part of the Solid and Liquid Waste Management component under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) to positively impact village cleanliness and generate wealth and energy from cattle and organic waste. The scheme supports villages in effectively managing their cattle waste, agricultural waste/residue, and all other organic waste. It promotes the conversion of organic waste (especially cattle dung) to wealth through the generation of manure and energy, creating livelihood opportunities and enhancing income of farmers and rural people. A scheme by the Government of Goa that provides one-time grants to educational institutes affiliated with recognized public universities for setting up or expanding incubation centers within their campuses. Educational institutes with existing incubation facilities can also receive operational grants for three years.

The scheme aims to incentivize entrepreneurs to establish new coir industries or revitalize existing ones in Puducherry. It provides margin money grant upon receipt of a financial institution's sanction order for a project worth ₹1,00,00,000, with the grant capped at 25% or ₹25,00,000, whichever is lower.

This scheme aims to encourage entrepreneurs to set up Silk Weaving Units in Puducherry by providing margin money grants that reduce the initial financial burden while availing term loan/working capital loan from financial institutions.

The scheme aims to encourage the creation of Handicrafts Societies to enhance coordination and skill among craftspeople. Grants are provided to registered societies, either as a Cooperative society or under the Societies Act, for organizing or participating in exhibitions, thereby fostering the marketing of handicraft products.

The scheme aims to meet the needs of handloom weavers for assistance on a larger scale for looms and accessories. It provides financial assistance for technological up-gradation to improve the quality of the fabric and productivity. Under HSS, financial assistance to the extent of 90% of the cost of technological up-gradation items shall be borne by the Govt. of India while the remaining 10% shall be borne by the beneficiary.

A placement-linked skill training programme for unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Youth are provided free skill training for 3 to 12 months in various market-demand skills, with job placement assurance (minimum 70%) and one year post-placement tracking. The programme includes residential and non-residential training, computer-oriented skills, soft skills, English communication, and technical skills training.

iDEX is an operational framework that provides grants up to Rs. 1.50 Crore (up to Rs. 10 Crore in case of iDEX Prime) to Start-ups/MSMEs to fund projects in many technological areas under Defence India Start-up Challenges (DISC) and Open Challenge through the Support for Prototype and Research Kick start (SPARK Framework). The scheme fosters innovation and technology development in Defence and Aerospace sectors and provides a path to procurement for the Armed Forces.

Intellectual Property Right Scheme offers legal and intellectual property filing support including patents, trademarks, copyrights, designs, geographical indications (GI) etc. The programme also provides IP advisory, consultation, Patentability Searches, Technology Gap Analyses and IP commercialisation through the establishment of Intellectual Property Facilitation Centres (IPFCs) across the country.

A scheme by the Government of Goa for startups to reimburse up to 50% of costs incurred in filing or obtaining national and international intellectual property registrations, subject to caps of ₹2,00,000 for national IP and ₹5,00,000 for international IP. Maximum 200 startups per year can benefit. Reimbursement is disbursed within 60 days of approval.

A scheme for startups of Goa that provides interest subsidy reimbursement on loans availed. Projects showing immense promise and potential are eligible for a grant of 30% of the loan interest amount for repayment of interest component of a loan, up to ₹5,00,000 per annum for two years. Other startups can avail 10% interest repayment grant up to ₹2,00,000 per year for two years.

The scheme aims to capacity build MSMEs for entering the export market by facilitating their participation in international exhibitions/fairs/conferences/seminars/buyer-seller meets abroad as well as providing them with actionable market-intelligence and reimbursement of various costs involved in export of goods and services. The scheme provides financial assistance for Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) paid by first-time exporters for registration with EPCs, export insurance premiums paid by MSEs, and fees paid on testing and quality certification acquired by MSEs to export products.

A State-Funded Social Welfare Scheme providing financial assistance to tailors, washermen (Rajakas), and barbers (Nayee Brahmins) in Andhra Pradesh. Beneficiaries receive ₹10,000 per year for 5 years (₹50,000 total in installments) to purchase tools, equipment, and essentials to grow their income source and work establishment.

A training and skilling upgradation scheme implemented by the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Government of Jammu & Kashmir wherein pass-out meritorious trainees and ex-trainees from departmental training centers are identified and provided skill upgradation training in crafts facing human resource crunch as well as languishing crafts. Registered Karkhanas/Karkhandars enroll trainees for six-month training programs with a minimum of five trainees for small Karkhana and maximum of 10 for big Karkhana.

A financial assistance scheme launched in 2020 to provide relief and support to destitute weavers and workers engaged in the handloom and textile industry whose livelihood was adversely affected by the Covid pandemic. The scheme provides yearly financial assistance transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to registered beneficiaries.

The Kerala Stressed MSMEs Revival & Rehabilitation Scheme intends to provide financial and other handholding support to MSMEs which show signs of stress and to convert their non-productive assets into productive assets. This scheme aims to revive micro, small and medium manufacturing enterprises in Kerala that suffer due to stressed assets. The maximum assistance admissible for each unit, all reliefs and assistances put together, under the scheme will be limited to ₹5 Lakh.

Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana is an umbrella scheme to increase productivity and wages of Khadi Artisans, improve infrastructure for Khadi production, develop village industries, revive traditional skills of rural artisans, renovate and modernize sales outlets, and promote marketing and exports. The scheme has been started by the Government of Chhattisgarh and operated by Labor Department. The benefit of the scheme will be given to the beneficiaries of trades like construction work such as mason, electrician, plumber, carpenter, porter, painter, etc. Construction workers registered in any district of the state are provided with tool kits based on their registered trade category.

The Madhugram Scheme (also known as Maun Palan Yojana or Madhu Vikas Yojana) is an Uttarakhand government initiative aimed at motivating unemployed youth for self-employment through beekeeping and honey production. The scheme provides up to 80% subsidy to establish honey production units in rural areas, with the goal of reducing migration to cities and making the state self-sufficient in honey production.

A scholarship scheme that provides maintenance allowance to Vimukta Jatis (VJNT) and Special Backward Class (SBC) students studying in Sainik Schools. The scheme aims to create self-employment for unemployed youths by providing vocational training in Government ITIs and short-duration courses. Training fees of ₹400 to ₹2400 are paid to the ITI, and upon completion, a tool kit of ₹1000 is provided to enable trainees to create their own employment in the service sector.

The scheme offers financial assistance to Scheduled Caste individuals who wish to establish cottage industries for self-employment without requiring bank loans. Employment/tool kits are provided to those seeking self-employment opportunities across 28 trades. The scheme aims to improve the economic condition of individual artisans living below the poverty line and increase the income of weaker sections of society through small-scale trade/business activities.

A scheme by the Government of Goa for startups that raise funds from registered/recognized funding sources prior to product launch phase. Eligible startups receive 25% matching funds or a maximum benefit of INR 25,00,000 at proportionate ownership of stock, subject to due diligence by the Start-up Promotion Cell (SPC). Up to 20 startups can benefit annually.

A pension scheme by the Union Territory of Puducherry that aims to provide monthly financial assistance to artisans in their old age, recognizing their contribution to traditional crafts. Eligible craftspersons receive a monthly grant of ₹2,000/-, continuing until their lifetime subject to annual renewal. In case of the craftsperson's death, the living spouse is entitled to receive ₹1,000/- per month.

MSME Samadhaan is an online Delayed Payment Monitoring System launched by the Ministry of MSME on October 30, 2017, under the provisions of Sections 15–24 of the MSMED Act, 2006. It enables micro and small enterprises (MSEs) with a valid Udyam Registration to file online applications against buyers who have not made payment within 45 days of acceptance of goods or services. Filed complaints are automatically forwarded to the concerned Micro and Small Enterprise Facilitation Council (MSEFC) of the respective State/UT for adjudication within 90 days. The buyer is liable to pay compound interest at three times the RBI bank rate on the overdue amount. All 37 States/UTs have constituted MSEFCs and the portal makes pending cases visible to Central Ministries, Departments, CPSEs, and State Governments for proactive action.

An extensive drive to create awareness amongst MSMEs about Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) practices and motivate and incentivize them for ZED Certification while encouraging them to become MSME Champions. The scheme promotes quality manufacturing, environmental consciousness, waste reduction, and enhanced competitiveness.

The scheme enhances livelihood security in urban areas by providing 120 days of guaranteed wage employment to every household in a financial year. It facilitates skill enhancement and entrepreneurship training with bank linkage for self-employment, and strengthens urban infrastructure through quality civic amenities in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Cantonment Boards (CBs) in Himachal Pradesh.

A pension scheme launched by the Government of Odisha to provide subsistence and financial support to aged artists who have persistently dedicated themselves to enriching, displaying, and preserving the arts and culture of Odisha. In 2022, Chhattisgarh State Government started the Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana for the girl child of construction worker families. With this scheme, daughters of workers will be able to get education, employment and self-employment.

Scheme started by Labor Department of Chhattisgarh State on 27 January 2018 to empower unorganized workers by providing required equipment for their work. Registered barbers are provided with barber kits including scissors, straight razor, comb, hair cutting cape, water spray bottle and shaving brush.

A component/sub-scheme under the National Handicrafts Development Programme that provides assistance for setting up emporia in commercially viable locations. These emporia serve as marketing platforms for local handicrafts artisans in their respective areas through retail outlets.

The scheme aims to set up permanent marketing infrastructure in towns and metropolitan cities to provide direct marketing facilities to handicrafts artisans and handloom weavers. The Urban Haat will be constructed in an area of not less than 8,000 sq. m. with a display gallery, food court, and 50-80 stalls allotted to artisans on a rotational basis for nominal rent. The scheme enables artisans to sell products year-round to a wider target audience.

The Research & Development Scheme is a component of the Umbrella Scheme 'National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP)' introduced to generate feedback on the economic, social, aesthetic, and promotional aspects of various crafts and artisans in the handicraft sector. The scheme sponsors surveys, studies, workshops, seminars, and conferences to generate suitable inputs for planning purposes and sensitize artisans on latest developments in the handicrafts sector.

The National Startup Awards recognize and reward outstanding startups and ecosystem enablers that are building innovative products or solutions and scalable enterprises, with high potential of employment generation or wealth creation, demonstrating measurable social impact. Awards are conferred across 20 categories.

Scheme launched by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Union Territory of Puducherry to arrange Promotion Campaigns, Investors Meets, Seminars, Exhibitions, and Trade Fairs both within India and abroad to attract industries to invest in Puducherry and increase marketability of MSME products including industrial products, handicraft products, and cottage industry products.

The award is conferred upon artisans who have been participants for 3 years in National/International handicraft exhibitions/fairs. The awardee receives a cash award of ₹2,00,000/- and a citation. Applications are accepted offline in the prescribed form available on the Official Website of the Department.

The scheme provides patent filing reimbursement to eligible Information Technology Units in the State of Goa. A total reimbursement of up to ₹25,00,000 per unit for expenses incurred towards filing of patents during the policy period. The scheme is part of Goa's IT Policy designed to make Goa an aspirational geographical and human resource base for IT Units and a preferred destination for their investment and expansion.

The Performance and Credit Rating (PCR) Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises, implemented by the Ministry of MSME through NSIC, enables MSEs to obtain an independent third-party credit and performance rating from SEBI-registered, RBI-empanelled agencies such as CRISIL, CARE, ICRA, India Ratings, ONICRA, SMERA, and Dun & Bradstreet. The scheme subsidises 75% of the rating fee (subject to turnover-based caps of ₹25,000 to ₹40,000) reimbursable through NSIC, making professional credit ratings accessible and affordable for small enterprises. A credible rating enables MSEs to secure loans at better interest rates, gain recognition in global trade, and helps buyers and vendors assess their capability and creditworthiness. The rating covers operational, financial, business, and management risk on a uniform scale across all empanelled agencies.

Under this scheme, a Person with Disabilities with 40% or more disability is given relief in his/her disability as well as equipment for self-employment within the limit of ₹20,000/-. Equipment includes artificial limbs, crutches, calipers, tricycles, folding wheelchairs, hearing aids, musical instruments, Braille kits, and self-employment tools such as hand carts, sewing machines, electric repairing instruments, cycle repairing tools, and hair cutting kits.

Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) is a World Bank-supported Central Sector Scheme launched on 30 June 2022 by the Prime Minister, implemented by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) over the five-year period 2022-23 to 2026-27. With an outlay of ₹6,062.45 crore (of which ₹3,750 crore is World Bank loan), RAMP aims to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs by enhancing market and credit access, strengthening central and state-level institutions, fostering innovation, promoting greening initiatives, scaling up credit guarantees for women-owned enterprises, and addressing delayed payment issues. It supports states in preparing Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) and disburses grants through Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs). The scheme targets improving performance of 5.55 lakh MSMEs across India.

Electric Auto Rickshaws will be provided free of cost to mothers of persons with disabilities who suffer financially. This scheme provides a means of livelihood for beneficiaries, particularly widowed or divorced mothers with no other source of permanent income. During the initial phase, 2 beneficiaries from each district will be selected.

A flagship welfare scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to youth of Assam state and empowering them in income-generating activities like service, manufacturing, and processing industries. The scheme provides seed money and loan assistance to individuals and groups for setting up new ventures or growing existing ventures across manufacturing, processing, service sector, trading, rural transport, tourism, and handicrafts.

Swanirbhar Naari is a state flagship scheme implemented by the Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Assam, to support indigenous weavers and promote their traditional hand-woven items. The scheme ensures direct procurement from weavers without the involvement of middlemen, thereby providing them fair market access and improved remuneration for their craftsmanship. The scheme encourages weavers to acquire certifications and provides quality training through Handloom Training Centres and Institutes, integrating modern technology into the traditional weaving process.

Financial assistance provided to women of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families to find self-employment, whose husbands have died/abandoned, and who have to take care of their sons/children with severe physical and mental challenges.

The Technology Development & Utilization Programme for Women (TDUPW) has been formulated by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) to meet the specific needs of women and enhance their contribution towards technology capability building. The scheme provides assistance for projects relevant to technology development and utilization by women, including promotion of new technologies, awareness creation, training, technological upgradation of women-led enterprises, and design of products/processes beneficial to women.

Technology Development Fund (TDF) has been established to promote self-reliance in Defence Technology as a part of the 'Make in India' initiative. It is a programme of the Ministry of Defence executed by the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) to meet the requirements of the Tri-Services, Defence Production and DRDO. The Scheme encourages participation of public/private industries, especially MSMEs and startups, so as to create an ecosystem for enhancing cutting-edge technology capability in the defence sector.

The Government of Kerala has launched the scheme through Kerala Startup Mission to support startups that have purchased or sourced Technology Licenses from any Government research Institution in India and are working on it to develop as a commercializable product. The scheme provides funding support of a maximum of ₹10 Lakhs in the form of reimbursement for startups who have paid to the Research Institution, limited to 90% of the technology fee.

The Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) aims to bridge the digital divide by developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art telecom technologies for rural and remote areas. The scheme provides funding for R&D and commercialization of telecom products, solutions, and use cases. An allocation of 5% of annual collections from the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) is available for funding R&D in the Telecom sector, starting with funds collected in the financial year 2021-22.

It provides medical aid, education support (limited to two children), and assistance during accidents or medical emergencies.

The Government of Maharashtra launched a scheme that provides light and heavy motor driving, and conductor training to the needy Vimukta Jati, Nomadic Tribes, and Other Backward Class (VJNT, OBC & SBC) candidates. The scheme's objective is to create employment chances for Vimukta Jati/Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Special Backward Class youth. The training is given through private motor driving schools. Under this scheme, the selected candidates are provided training with free lodging, boarding facility, License Fees, etc.

Unnati is an entrepreneurship platform initiative by the Government of Karnataka that provides comprehensive support to startups from innovation identification, validation, seed capital provision, to market access. The scheme aims to provide up to Rs 50 lakhs financial support to winning entrepreneurs to develop tech-based solutions. Total investment under the scheme is Rs 20 crore, implemented in two categories with priority for SC/ST entrepreneurs in the first stage.

A pension scheme launched by the Backward Classes Development Department, Government of Kerala to provide monthly pension support to traditional workers of Viswakarma Communities (Carpenters in wood, iron, stone; Goldsmiths; Moosari; and Stone Workers) who have completed 60 years of age in Kerala State.

The Young Innovators Program aims to empower youth of Jammu and Kashmir to innovate new products, services or models in any area of their interest like art, craft, literature, science, etc. The scheme provides institutional support and financial assistance to facilitate promising innovators to exhibit their talent and excel in their areas of interest.

A financial assistance scheme being implemented since December 2019 by the Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The objective is to help handloom weavers modernize their equipment and compete with powerloom sector products. ₹24,000/- is provided to every weaver family who owns a handloom.

YSR Pension Kanuka is a Social Security Scheme by the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The objective of this scheme is to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of society, particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability to secure a dignified life. The scheme provides monthly pensions to eligible beneficiaries across multiple categories including Old Age Pension, Widow, Disabled, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Fishermen, Single Women, Traditional Cobblers, PLHIV (ART Pensions), and Dialysis patients (CKDU).

A Social Welfare Scheme launched on 1st June 2021 that provides financial assistance of ₹10,000 per annum to self-owned auto/taxi drivers for expenditure towards insurance, fitness certificate, repairs, and other requirements. The objective is to increase income and reduce expenses of taxi repair by providing financial assistance to financially weak taxi drivers.

Yuvasree (earlier named as Yuva Utsaha Prakalpa) was launched by the Labour Department, Govt. of West Bengal, with effect from 1st October 2013. The objective of the scheme is to provide unemployment assistance to the enrolled jobseekers of the Employment Bank to enable them to upgrade their level of skill in order to make them employable or suitable for setting up of self-employment ventures.
