The AICTE-LILAVATI AWARD is launched to recognize efforts being made by AICTE approved institutions to treat women with equality and fairness in all spheres of their lives. It provides opportunities to students and faculty from AICTE approved institutions to present solutions to gender discrimination issues including illiteracy, unemployment, economic and nutritional disparities, maternal mortality, and human rights. The Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Challenge (APEC) is the first part of the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Programme (APEDP). It aims to identify, promote, support, and nurture sustainable and locally relevant business ideas and entrepreneurs. After evaluation and screening, 50 top entrepreneurs will be selected for Incubation and Pre-Incubation programmes facilitated by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. The top 10 entrepreneurs will be awarded up to Rs. 5 lakhs and the next 40 entrepreneurs will be awarded up to Rs. 4 lakhs.

The Government of Kerala has initiated the scheme to provide financial assistance in the form of grants to the artisans in the handicrafts sector for setting up handicraft enterprises. The assistance is a one-time support to eligible artisans of the state as back-end assistance. The Scheme aims to replace the existing scheme and bring the artisans in the handicrafts sector under the ambit of a single scheme for availing financial assistance in the form of grant assistance for setting up handicraft enterprises.

The scheme provides financial assistance to Traditional Pottery makers belonging to the state OBC category for the purchase of modern machinery for job modernization. It aims to revive the traditional pottery industry by imparting training to pottery workers on modern methods/techniques of production and providing financial assistance to mechanize and modernize the sector.

The scheme provides financial assistance to training institutions under the Ministry of MSME for creation, strengthening and expansion of infrastructure, including setting up of new branches and centres. Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
An umbrella scheme launched by the Government of Odisha to provide welfare and empowerment services to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The scheme aims to address constraints in accessing public services due to lack of certification and lack of adequate assistive devices and appliances. It covers 21 categories of disabilities and provides support for therapies, surgery, fitting of aids & appliances, self-employment avenues, education, employment, barrier-free environment, and social security.

A comprehensive social security scheme for unorganized workers in West Bengal, including construction workers, transport workers, self-employed workers, and workers in 46 unorganized industries and 15 self-employed occupations. A programme to promote commercialisation of bioscience ideas among graduate/postgraduate students in Biotechnology and to encourage them to develop biotechnology entrepreneurship. This is an annual competition organized along with a workshop where participants develop a Business Plan judged by a panel of experts.

A welfare scheme by the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund of the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry. Through this scheme, ₹10,000/- is provided to the Widows of Ex-servicemen for the purchase of a Sewing Machine. This scheme applies only to the Widows of the ESM registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry.

The Chhattisgarh Berozgari Bhatta Yojana provides financial assistance to unemployed youth of the state till they get employment. Monthly allowance of Rs. 2,500 is provided to eligible unemployed individuals registered with employment centers.

Central Sector Scheme implemented by Coir Board to improve export performance of Indian Coir Sector through export market promotion activities including sponsoring delegations, participation in seminars and conferences, organizing participation in international fairs, undertaking generic publicity abroad, extending financial assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Exporters, and presenting Coir Industry Awards annually to recognize outstanding performance in export, domestic trade, R&D, and functioning of units and societies.

A financial support scheme by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, designed to provide social security to marginal workers on a contributory basis. The scheme operates for 5 or 10 years, with contributions from both the state (₹300 per quarter) and beneficiary (₹200 per quarter). The accumulated amount is deposited in a bank account pledged to the District Social Welfare Officer and can be withdrawn or reinvested in a pension scheme upon completion.

The Dalit Bandhu Scheme is a unique initiative launched by the government of Telangana to promote the economic development of families belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community. The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs to eligible SC families to start their own businesses or entrepreneurial ventures, thereby creating opportunities for them to become self-reliant and improve their standard of living. One-time capital assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs per SC family is provided as a 100% grant/subsidy to establish suitable income-generating schemes without bank loan linkage.

DAY-NRLM is the flagship program of the Ministry of Rural Development for promoting poverty reduction through building strong institutions for the poor, particularly women, and enabling these institutions to access a range of financial services and livelihoods. The scheme covers 7 Crore rural poor households across 600 districts, 6000 blocks, 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats and 6 lakh villages through self-managed Self Help Groups (SHGs) and federated institutions, supporting them for livelihoods collectives over 8-10 years.

Design scheme helps MSMEs avail advice on all aspects of design through design consultants and experienced designers. It facilitates development of new design strategies, design-related products, and new product development as well as enhancing existing product portfolio. The scheme is divided into two major parts: Design Projects (providing financial assistance for design interventions and consultancy) and Design Awareness Programme (creating awareness about the value of design through seminars, talks, workshops).

Chhattisgarh State Government scheme started on 20 December 2016 to empower unorganized workers by providing financial assistance for purchasing e-rickshaws. Registered unorganized labor individuals receive a grant of ₹30,000 from the Chhattisgarh Unorganized Worker State Social Security Board, with beneficiaries covering ₹10,000 in expenses and the remaining amount extended as a bank loan.

BIRAC's Innovation Fellows are expected to initiate biotech startups with proposals having the potential to commercialize innovative products and technologies.

The scheme is aimed at exploring the potential of entrepreneurship along with improvement in livelihood options for unemployed Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC & ST) women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) areas using tools of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It creates opportunities for unemployed SC-ST women in STEM areas to become Techno-entrepreneurs and encourages the commercial potential of marketable products/technologies in areas such as indigenous/traditional knowledge practices, agriculture, food/nutrition/health, waste management, and electrical/electronic utility items.

This programme aims to tap the expertise available in the large pool of Agriculture graduates and create gainful self-employment opportunities for unemployed agricultural graduates, agricultural diploma holders, intermediate in agriculture and biological science graduates, with PG in agri-related courses. The scheme provides full financial support for training and handholding, provision of loans, and credit-linked back-ended composite subsidy. A 45 days specialized training is provided by selected institutes across the country.

The Exhibition component of the Development Of Handicrafts scheme by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Puducherry, was introduced to boost the marketability of handicrafts and enhance sales through the organization of exhibitions. These exhibitions are conducted locally and in various states of the country.

This scheme provides financial assistance to dramatic groups, theatre groups, music ensembles, children's theatre, and all genres of performing arts activities to promote the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition. Assistance is provided monthly to Gurus/Directors and Shishyas/Artists based on their age group and category.

A scheme launched by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala to help those released from jail from poor economic conditions to find their livelihood. One-time financial assistance is provided to eligible ex-convicts to find self-employment and start small industry/trade as part of social rehabilitation.

The scheme provides financial assistance to inter-caste married couples (except SC/ST category) who suffer from financial problems. A one-time financial assistance of ₹30,000 is given to eligible couples. GOBARdhan was launched by the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation in April 2018 as part of the Solid and Liquid Waste Management component under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) to positively impact village cleanliness and generate wealth and energy from cattle and organic waste. The scheme supports villages in effectively managing their cattle waste, agricultural waste/residue, and all other organic waste. It promotes the conversion of organic waste (especially cattle dung) to wealth through the generation of manure and energy, creating livelihood opportunities and enhancing income of farmers and rural people. The scheme involves entrepreneurs, SHGs, and Youth Groups in the setting up and operation of biogas plants.

Under HSS, financial assistance to the extent of 90% of the cost of technological up-gradation items shall be borne by the Govt. of India while the remaining 10% shall be borne by the beneficiary.

A placement-linked skill training programme for unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Youth are provided free skill training for 3 to 12 months in various market-demand skills, with job placement assurance (minimum 70%) and one year post-placement tracking. The programme includes residential and non-residential training, computer-oriented skills, soft skills, English communication, and technical skills training.

iDEX is an operational framework that provides grants up to Rs. 1.50 Crore (up to Rs. 10 Crore in case of iDEX Prime) to Start-ups/MSMEs to fund projects in many technological areas under Defence India Start-up Challenges (DISC) and Open Challenge through the Support for Prototype and Research Kick start (SPARK Framework). The scheme fosters innovation and technology development in Defence and Aerospace sectors and provides a path to procurement for the Armed Forces.

The scheme provides comprehensive support for people belonging to various tribes in the entire range of production, product development, reservation of traditional heritage, support to both forest and agricultural produce of tribal people, support to Institutions to carry the above activities, provision of better infrastructure, development of designs, dissemination of information about price and the agencies which are buying the products, support to Government agencies for sustainable marketing and thereby ensure a reasonable price regime.

Projects showing immense promise and potential are eligible for a grant of 30% of the loan interest amount for repayment of interest component of a loan, up to ₹5,00,000 per annum for two years. Other startups can avail 10% interest repayment grant up to ₹2,00,000 per year for two years.

The scheme provides financial assistance for Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) paid by first-time exporters for registration with EPCs, export insurance premiums paid by MSEs, and fees paid on testing and quality certification acquired by MSEs to export products.

A training and skilling upgradation scheme implemented by the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Government of Jammu & Kashmir wherein pass-out meritorious trainees and ex-trainees from departmental training centers are identified and provided skill upgradation training in crafts facing human resource crunch as well as languishing crafts. Registered Karkhanas/Karkhandars enroll trainees for six-month training programs with a minimum of five trainees for small Karkhana and maximum of 10 for big Karkhana.

The scheme has been started by the Government of Chhattisgarh and operated by Labor Department. The benefit of the scheme will be given to the beneficiaries of trades like construction work such as mason, electrician, plumber, carpenter, porter, painter, etc. Construction workers registered in any district of the state are provided with tool kits based on their registered trade category.

The Madhugram Scheme (also known as Maun Palan Yojana or Madhu Vikas Yojana) is an Uttarakhand government initiative aimed at motivating unemployed youth for self-employment through beekeeping and honey production. The scheme provides up to 80% subsidy to establish honey production units in rural areas, with the goal of reducing migration to cities and making the state self-sufficient in honey production.

A scholarship scheme that provides maintenance allowance to Vimukta Jatis (VJNT) and Special Backward Class (SBC) students studying in Sainik Schools. The scheme aims to create self-employment for unemployed youths by providing vocational training in Government ITIs and short-duration courses. Training fees of ₹400 to ₹2400 are paid to the ITI, and upon completion, a tool kit of ₹1000 is provided to enable trainees to create their own employment in the service sector.

The scheme aims to improve the economic condition of individual artisans living below the poverty line and increase the income of weaker sections of society through small-scale trade/business activities.

Up to 20 startups can benefit annually.

MSME Samadhaan is an online Delayed Payment Monitoring System launched by the Ministry of MSME on October 30, 2017, under the provisions of Sections 15–24 of the MSMED Act, 2006. It enables micro and small enterprises (MSEs) with a valid Udyam Registration to file online applications against buyers who have not made payment within 45 days of acceptance of goods or services. Filed complaints are automatically forwarded to the concerned Micro and Small Enterprise Facilitation Council (MSEFC) of the respective State/UT for adjudication within 90 days. The buyer is liable to pay compound interest at three times the RBI bank rate on the overdue amount. All 37 States/UTs have constituted MSEFCs and the portal makes pending cases visible to Central Ministries, Departments, CPSEs, and State Governments for proactive action.

The Performance and Credit Rating (PCR) Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises, implemented by the Ministry of MSME through NSIC, enables MSEs to obtain an independent third-party credit and performance rating from SEBI-registered, RBI-empanelled agencies such as CRISIL, CARE, ICRA, India Ratings, ONICRA, SMERA, and Dun & Bradstreet. The scheme subsidises 75% of the rating fee (subject to turnover-based caps of ₹25,000 to ₹40,000) reimbursable through NSIC, making professional credit ratings accessible and affordable for small enterprises. A credible rating enables MSEs to secure loans at better interest rates, gain recognition in global trade, and helps buyers and vendors assess their capability and creditworthiness. The rating covers operational, financial, business, and management risk on a uniform scale across all empanelled agencies.

Under this scheme, a Person with Disabilities with 40% or more disability is given relief in his/her disability as well as equipment for self-employment within the limit of ₹20,000/-. Equipment includes artificial limbs, crutches, calipers, tricycles, folding wheelchairs, hearing aids, musical instruments, Braille kits, and self-employment tools such as hand carts, sewing machines, electric repairing instruments, cycle repairing tools, and hair cutting kits.

Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) is a World Bank-supported Central Sector Scheme launched on 30 June 2022 by the Prime Minister, implemented by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) over the five-year period 2022-23 to 2026-27. With an outlay of ₹6,062.45 crore (of which ₹3,750 crore is World Bank loan), RAMP aims to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs by enhancing market and credit access, strengthening central and state-level institutions, fostering innovation, promoting greening initiatives, scaling up credit guarantees for women-owned enterprises, and addressing delayed payment issues. It supports states in preparing Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) and disburses grants through Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs). The scheme targets improving performance of 5.55 lakh MSMEs across India.

It is a programme of the Ministry of Defence executed by the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) to meet the requirements of the Tri-Services, Defence Production and DRDO. The Scheme encourages participation of public/private industries, especially MSMEs and startups, so as to create an ecosystem for enhancing cutting-edge technology capability in the defence sector.
Government of Kerala
The Government of Kerala has launched the scheme through Kerala Startup Mission to support startups that have purchased or sourced Technology Licenses from any Government research Institution in India and are working on it to develop as a commercializable product. The scheme provides funding support of a maximum of ₹10 Lakhs in the form of reimbursement for startups who have paid to the Research Institution, limited to 90% of the technology fee.

The Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) aims to bridge the digital divide by developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art telecom technologies for rural and remote areas. The scheme provides funding for R&D and commercialization of telecom products, solutions, and use cases. An allocation of 5% of annual collections from the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) is available for funding R&D in the Telecom sector, starting with funds collected in the financial year 2021-22.

The Government of Maharashtra launched a scheme that provides light and heavy motor driving, and conductor training to the needy Vimukta Jati, Nomadic Tribes, and Other Backward Class (VJNT, OBC & SBC) candidates. The scheme's objective is to create employment chances for Vimukta Jati/Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Special Backward Class youth. The training is given through private motor driving schools. Under this scheme, the selected candidates are provided training with free lodging, boarding facility, License Fees, etc.

Unnati is an entrepreneurship platform initiative by the Government of Karnataka that provides comprehensive support to startups from innovation identification, validation, seed capital provision, to market access. The scheme aims to provide up to Rs 50 lakhs financial support to winning entrepreneurs to develop tech-based solutions. Total investment under the scheme is Rs 20 crore, implemented in two categories with priority for SC/ST entrepreneurs in the first stage.

The objective is to help handloom weavers modernize their equipment and compete with powerloom sector products. ₹24,000/- is provided to every weaver family who owns a handloom.

YSR Pension Kanuka is a Social Security Scheme by the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Yuvasree (earlier named as Yuva Utsaha Prakalpa) was launched by the Labour Department, Govt. of West Bengal, with effect from 1st October 2013.
