PM SVANidhi (PM Street Vendor AtmaNirbhar Nidhi) is a Central Government scheme launched in June 2020 under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to provide affordable collateral-free working capital loans to urban street vendors. The Union Cabinet restructured and extended the scheme on August 27, 2025, with the lending period extended until March 31, 2030 and a total outlay of Rs.7,332 crore. The restructured scheme offers first-tranche loans up to Rs.15,000, second-tranche loans up to Rs.25,000, and third-tranche loans up to Rs.50,000, along with a UPI-linked RuPay Credit Card for timely repayers. It also provides 7% per annum interest subsidy, digital cashback incentives, financial literacy support, and linkages to social security schemes through SVANidhi se Samriddhi, targeting 1.15 crore beneficiaries including 50 lakh new beneficiaries.

Obtain Vending Certificate
Get Certificate of Vending or Identity Card from your Urban Local Body (ULB), or ensure your name is in the ULB survey for a Provisional Certificate of Vending via the IT platform.
Apply Online or at Lending Institution
Visit pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in or approach a scheduled commercial bank, RRB, small finance bank, MFI, or SHG-Bank linkage partner. Urban Local Bodies also facilitate applications.
Submit Documents
Submit Aadhaar card, Certificate of Vending or Identity Card from ULB, mobile number linked to Aadhaar, and a recent passport-size photograph.
Loan Processing and Sanction
Lending institution processes and verifies vendor identity through ULB records, then sanctions first-tranche loan of up to Rs. 15,000 to the vendor account.
Disbursement and Digital Onboarding
Loan is disbursed digitally. Vendor is onboarded to UPI/digital payment platform, eligible for monthly cashback up to Rs.100 and quarterly 7% interest subsidy credit.
