The PLI Scheme aims to boost domestic manufacturing, investments and export in the telecom and networking products sector. It provides financial incentives to companies manufacturing specified telecom and networking products in four product categories: Core Transmission Equipment, 4G/5G/Next Generation RAN and Wireless Equipment, Access & CPE/IoT Access Devices and Other Wireless Equipment, and Enterprise Equipment (Switches and Routers). The scheme is implemented over 5 years with a total outlay of ₹12,195 Crores, of which ₹2,500 Crores is allocated for MSMEs.
