Mission Solar Charkha

Mission Solar Charkha is a pilot project that envisages setting up of Solar Charkha Clusters in focal villages and surrounding villages within a radius of 8-10 kilometres. Each cluster will have 200-2042 beneficiaries (spinners, weavers, stitches, and other skilled artisans). The scheme aims to generate direct employment of nearly one lakh persons across 50 approved clusters with a budget of 550 crores for 2018-19 and 2019-20.
